Shortly after the Littleton’s sold their home and left Callawassie Island, Donna Littleton and her husband just couldn’t find that same feeling of belonging or community anywhere else.

The Littleton’s returned to Callawassie Island to buy a lot with the thoughts of someday retiring here. But after inviting their kids down to see the island, their children had an even better idea, “We want to move here.”

Many of our neighbors and their families feel this same magnetism drawing them across the causeway, choosing to make Callawassie Island their permanent family settlement.
