On Callawassie Island, “community” has a special meaning.
Here, the word community encompasses everything we hold dear, from the balance we feel to our natural surroundings, to the neighbors who become like family.
The Callawassie Island community is incredibly proud and humbled to announce its selection as “Best Community/Neighborhood” by the Island Packet’s Reader’s Choice Awards for 2017.
With only approximately 700 home sites, Callawassie Island is a smaller community than most in the surrounding Bluffton and Hilton Head areas. Our private, 880-acre community is completely surrounded by tidal salt marshes and the Colleton River.
Callawassie Island is located roughly 20 minutes north of Bluffton, but our hidden gem was given the opportunity to vie for “Best Community” along with nearly 100 other communities from here to Hilton Head Island!
We couldn’t be more excited to win this prestigious recognition. The Lowcountry is known for its ability to take your breath away with vistas unlike anywhere else in the world, and there is nowhere better to experience them than right here on Callawassie.
